BENEFITS OF YOGA

An hour of yoga can do wonders as it works at three levels physical, mental and spiritual. Yoga has techniques through which one can build both physical and mental strength. Yoga helps cleanse the system of negative energy as practice of Asthtanga yoga consisting Hatha yoga and Raja yoga takes care of the body mind and soul.

If you think you cannot spare time at home, try doing it at office during your lunch break. Begin with breathing exercise (pranayama) and some stretching exercises like tarasana and konasana. Ideally one should do hour of yoga everyday but if time is constraint one can always break it to 15 minute capsules to be done throughout the day.

Once you start doing yoga your energy level will go up, your concentration will increase and you’ll feel content from inside. This will have a very positive effect both on your personal and professional life. Yoga also helps tones muscles and improves its flexibility. Yoga and meditation also helps in reducing strain. While we do yoga our internal organs also gets exercise which is not the case with jogging and walking.

Further fifteen minutes of deep relaxation equals two hours of deep sleep, hence it is ideal for working people who need to rejunvenate after deep sleep. Further a Satvik Yogic diet consisting of simple vegetarian food and taken in a happy state of mind leads to a healthy body and soul. Doing yoga regularly can lead to more productivity and enjoyment of your work.
