Honey is a thick liquid made by honey bees and is sweet to taste It contains hydrogen peroxide naturally with low acidic levels. Honey can be used as a face mask. Diabetics can substitute honey for sugar. It is also sexual stimulant.
Following are the various health benefits of honey.
Honey is excellent substitute for sugar for those who want to control blood sugar level. Though it too can raise blood sugar level, but not as much as refined sugar. It’s also good for digestion. It reduces cholesterol in the arteries preventing heart attack. It along with cinnamon is good for arthritis. Two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder is good to cure arthritis. Further the same combination is good to cure aching tooth. Apply paste prepared from five teaspoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder to the aching tooth. Honey can also be used to accelerate healing and it also has antibacterial effects. Further its local application and can prevent scarring. Due to various vitamins and minerals in it Honey is good for improving immunity. A glass of warm water on empty stomach mixed with honey and lime water is good for detoxification.
Honey is also considered as sex stimulant. Add some honey to water, milk and it is sure to give an immediate sexual stimulant. It is a great source of boron which is known to metabolize estrogen the female sex hormone.
Mix a little honey with lemon juice with almond oil to create a softening mask, purported to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Take a carrot, grind it and take two tbsp of grounded carrot , mix it with one tbsp of honey, apply on your face and leave if on for 10 minutes. This mask lightens the dark skin and also helps to treat the dry skin.
A mixture of lemon, sugar and honey can be used to wax skin. The above mixture has to be cooked for fifteen minutes for its waxing effect. Take precaution that the above mixture does not get burned during the procedure.
Apply a small amount of honey with a fingertip to the eye areas before bedtime
And let it soak in while sleeping. Wash it early morning. This is good to reduce under eye bags and under eye dark circles.
A paste of olive oil, one tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder can be applied to prevent baldness. The paste has to be applied for fifteen minutes before bath.
Gargling with mixture of honey and cinnamon powder can prevent bad breadth.
